Project Description
A complex of three long span bridges and a number of smaller bridges and viaducts designed to carry road and pedestrian traffic. The East River Suspended Spans cross between Queens (Astoria) and Randall/Wards Islands, with approaches it spans a distance of approximately 2 miles over the Hell’s Gate (East River).
